The electoral Bloc NOW announced today at a press conference that it comes up with the proposals that Andrei Năstase be appointed President of Parliament, and Maia Sandu – Premier.
As TRIBUNA informs, the president of PAS Maia Sandu, co-president of the Bloc NOW, said that the elections have passed, but the state of affairs in the Republic of Moldova continues to be critical.
„At the international level, it is recognized that our country is the hostage of oligarchic interests in the state, that the democratic process degraded dramatically, that the rights of citizens and their freedoms are systematically violated. Moldova is isolated internationally, relations with European partners are compromised by anti-democratic actions of the government. Moldova is in a serious situation, things cannot continue like this. We can no longer afford governments that are not credible abroad and that perpetuate corruption, injustice and poverty in the country. We need a responsible government, transparently structured, capable of avoiding the dictatorship of the country and the macroeconomic crisis. Under these harsh conditions, assuming its government, the bloc NOW proposes the next steps to put Moldova on the path of normality. The first step – the constituent fractions of the political bloc, the DA Platform and the PAS Platform, put forward the candidacy of Mr Andrei Năstase, president of DA Platform, as President of Parliament, “Sandu said.
In his turn, the president of the Dignity and Truth Platform, Andrei Năstase, co-president of the bloc NOW, launched an appeal.
“We continue to appeal to the deputies of the Parliament, with respect for the citizens who elected them, with love of the country and free of any mafia control, to support and vote our anti-oligarchic initiatives to reform the law and regulatory institutions. Given the urgent need to implement the initiatives of the destruction of oligarchy, the constituent fractions of the Platform DA and PAS are determined to assume the responsibility of the government and put forward Maia Sandu, president of PAS in the function of Premier. We have very transparent approaches, objectively assessing the mandate offered to us, those in the bloc NOW, by people who want to live in a free and prosperous country. We reiterate that our purpose is justice for the benefit of the people”, Năstase said.
