The Parliament of the 10th legislature will convene in the constitutive sitting no more than 30 days after the elections.
As TRIBUNA informs, according to Article 63 (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, the Parliament meets at the convening of the President of the Republic of Moldova within 30 days of the elections.
„The constituent meeting of the newly elected Parliament will be chaired by the oldest deputy. The Dean of age, as in the previous parliamentary term, is the Deputy Eduard Smirnov, who, this year, will be 80 years old. At the first session, the President of the Constitutional Court will present the report on the results of the elections of the Parliament and the validation of the mandates of the elected deputies.The Parliament is considered legally constituted from the date of the constitutive sitting. After the legal constitution of the Parliament, the President of the Parliament, the vice-presidents are elected and the Permanent Bureau of Parliament is formed. Within 10 days of the first meeting, the parliamentary factions, which operate under its own regulation, will be established”.
