After Gheorghe Duca resigned from the post of President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), a new high-level resignation shook the academic world, writes curentul.md.

Well-informed sources communicated for CURENTUL that the academician Ion Guciac left the position of vice-president of the ASM.

The reasons for his departure from office are unknown, but previously a group of renowned academicians, in a letter, requested the resignation of the whole ASM leadership for the situation created at the Academy and in the scientific-academic environment in general.
