The parliamentary elections held on Sunday opened the way to an absolute national political record in the Republic of Moldova – 25 years in Parliament.

The owner of this record will be the honorary Chairman of the PDM Dumitru Diacov, if he brings his new Deputy term to the end.

Dmitry Diacov has been a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova for 21 years, as well as the representative of the Communist Party of the Republic of Moldova Maria Postoico. But since Maria Postoiko will no longer be a member of Parliament, Dumitru Diacov becomes the only record holder.

Dumitru Diacov was a member of the following convocations: 1994-1998, 1998-2001, 2005-2009, 2009-2010, 2010-2014, 2014-2019.
