More than 8,000 employees of the Ministry of the interior will be deployed in addition to the proper conduct of the elections. This is stated in the press release of the police of the Republic of Moldova, the TRIBUNA reports.
According to the message, police officers will be on duty and at polling stations. About 4,000 employees will be involved in the protection of polling stations, and more than 3,000 employees will ensure public order and respond to citizens’ appeals.
There is also a reserve for emergencies. Two police officers will be present at each polling station to monitor the security of the voting process.
However, the police escorted vehicles carrying ballots in 25 single-member districts and then secured polling stations. In order to avoid violations of the law on the Election Day on February 24, the police recommends the following to citizens:
– do not enter polling stations with firearms or edged weapons;
-do not destroy or deliberately damage electoral lists;
– do not take out of the polling station the ballot received for voting;
– comply with the requirements of the Chairman of the electoral Bureau of the polling station.
