Study: Women on the national lists and those in the constituencies have fewer fortunes than men

The Development Partnership Center (CPD) today on the Salary Equality Day came up with a report on income inequalities between women and men, TRIBUNA informs.

Thus, according to the authors of the report, the gender pay gap is 13.5%.

According to the same report, women earn more from their job, but men and from other legal sources of income.

As far as retirement gaps are concerned, retiring women in Chişinău are the most affected.

The authors of the study also referred to the financial inequalities between political candidates. Thus, on the national constituency, the difference between the average income of a man and a woman is 53%.

On the uninominal constituencies, all candidates have a very high income compared to those on the national list. “Those enrolled in uninominal constituencies earn more than those on the list”, said the representative of CPD.

At the same time, both women on the national list and those on constituencies have fewer fortunes, compared to men.
