The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today launched two new tools to inform citizens about the organization and conduct of parliamentary elections and of the republican consultative Referendum, TRIBUNA informs.
“There are two instruments through which we want to facilitate communication on election day,” said the president of Central Electoral Commission Alina Russu.
Therefore, she referred to the first application. “Our colleagues in the Information Technologies department have launched an application that will allow citizens of the Republic of Moldova from abroad to have access to the data on the nearest polling stations, but also which section is more or less crowded. This is the application diapora.votează.md. The page is available in 2 versions: Romanian and Russian”, Russu said.
At the same time, the head of Informational Technologies direction, Alexandru Balmoş, talked about the second application. “For the first time, we want to launch online results directly from all polling stations through electronic applications. A link through which everyone can get in and see what is happening in constituencies, diaspora and raion. We will have a counter that counts the number of voters in polling stations. On results, we will have the area on proportional and uninominal. When we will be interested in a constituency, we will be able to see the top 3 favouritecandidates in that region. The application will work on a separate link, now we do not publish it for security reasons, “Balmos concluded.
