AGER: We encourage public authorities to ensure transparency of all public procurement procedures

The lack of decisional transparency in the new law regarding public procurement was the subject of a press conference, organized by the Association for Efficient and Responsible Governance (AGER), TRIBUNA informs.

The representative of the Association, Olesea Stamate, referred to some shortcomings. “Through the public procurement, over 10 billion lei are spent annually. We ask the Finance Ministry to represent a draft decision according to which purchases worth more than 50,000 lei to be transparent, using the Mtender system as well, “Stamate said.

At the same time, the representative of the Association made an appeal. “We encourage public authorities to ensure the transparency of all procurement procedures for goods, services or works in their own field of business, the business community to actively participate in the detection, contestation, and elimination of shortcomings in the procurement procedures. We propose to the development partners of the Republic of Moldova to continue to support the initiatives to promote the transparency of the activity of the public authorities and the decision-making processes at all levels”, she concluded.
