Moldovan public sector employees to have another three days-off in 2019

The days of 30 April, 10 May and 26 August will be days-off for the public sector employees. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting today.   

Instead, the public sector employees will have to come to work on 13 April, 18 May and 17 August 2019, which will be working days.

At the government meeting, Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Silvia Radu said that the decision had been taken for the best use by the wage earners of the days-off and non-working days in 2019.

The draft decision was worked out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, in cooperation with the National Employers’ Confederation and National Trade Unions Confederation.

The ministries, other central administrative authorities, heads of enterprises, institutions and organizations will ensure, on the days regarding as working days, the efficient activity of the subordinated units.

During the year, the employees from Moldova benefit from 13 holidays days-off, set under the law.
