PM, top EU official discuss Moldova's European agenda

Prime Minister Pavel Filip today met European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting. The officials discussed the carrying out of reforms in Moldova, in the context of the recommendations suggested by EU and the commitments taken by Moldova in its European integration.  

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the PM stressed the importance of continuing the dialogue with the EU partners and of the communication, including the high-level one. Filip highlighted that the Moldovan authorities remained committed to fulfilling the European agenda. “We will continue the reforms in justice, economy, as well as in the financial and banking sector,” Pavel Filip said.

In another context, the prime minister referred also to the forthcoming parliamentary elections. Pavel Filip noted that the Moldovan authorities would do everything needed for the polls to be free and fair, stressing that the ballot would be monitored by a large team of international observers.
