Moldovan parliament holds first plenary meeting of autumn session 2018

Moldovan parliament today held the first plenary session of autumn 2018, which will be the last of the 20th legislature.

The meeting started traditionally with the singing of the state anthem by the pupils of the Ciprian Porumbescu High School. Subsequently, following several exchanges of words and legal advisor of Moldovan president Maxim Lebedinschi was asked to leave the courtroom after he violated the Rules of Parliament.

Today, the MPs are going to consider several drafts, including the law on recovery and resolution of banks, law on veterans and law on public procurement. Also, the draft law on notary and two drafts for amending and supplementing certain legislative acts will be discussed.

According to parliament’s Regulations, the parliament meets in two ordinary sessions per year. The spring session starts in February and cannot be longer than the end of July, and the autumn session starts in September and cannot be more than the end of December.
