Moldovan PM to deliver speech at UN General Assembly

Prime Minister Pavel Filip pays a working visit to New York, USA, on 26-29 September to attend the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Filip will deliver a speech on peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict by respecting sovereignty of Moldova, and will inform the international community about Moldova’s stance, which remains actively involved in the UN processes regarding respect for international law and human rights, peace and global development.

Filip will also hold a string of bilateral meetings with heads of state and governments. Also, he will meet Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations and UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

The premier participates for the third time in the UN General Assembly session.
