An information line on the procedures of voting at the new local polls due on 20 May today was established by the Centre for Continuous Electoral Training (CICDE) and the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

According to CICDE, people may call (022) 88 01 01. Here, they may learn about the polling station where they vote and the voting procedure, settlement of various situations concerning the electoral procedures, submitting contestations and checking in electoral lists.

The information line is also meant to back electoral civil servants, representatives of the electoral contenders, as well as observers.

The line works starting from Money till Friday in the time interval 8:00-17:00; on 19 May – during 8:00-18:00, and on the election day, 20 May, -during 5:00-24:00.

A similar service was also organized at the last three national polls.

On 20 May, new local elections of mayors will take place in seven settlements: Chisinau and Balti municipalities, Leuseni village and Nemteni village, central Hancesti district, Volovita village, northern Soroca district, Jora de Mijloc village, central Orhei district and Parlita village, western Ungheni district.
