During 10 years of Dorin Chirtoaca’s rule, the city infrastructure was systematically and thoroughly destroyed. During this time, there not a kindergarten, no one stadium, no medical institution was built. The disaster in Chisinau can be stopped already this Sunday, November 19, by voting for the resignation of Dorin Chirtoaca. Such a statement was made by the advisers from the fraction of the PSRM in the Municipal Council at a press conference.
“So that everyone understands, it is not just parking or situation on the roads, dozens of objects of urban infrastructure – hospitals, clinics, houses of culture, kindergartens, schools, territories of these objects have disappeared in recent years. No such object has been built in recent years, none. The situation in Chisinau has deteriorated significantly during this time,” Ion Cheban said.
“We thank all those who left their signature for this referendum – more than 80 thousand residents of Chisinau. We hope that the Chisinau residents will go to the referendum, and we will dismiss the corrupt, irresponsible and incompetent mayor,” Cheban said.
He stressed that the socialists were blamed for what really did not correspond to reality.
“You will not see a single declaration where I or my colleagues from the PSRM faction would have acted with something other than the needs of the city. And this is our firm principle, which we observe. We think that the referendum on the resignation of the mayor – blackmailed and irresponsible – is a democratic procedure in the Republic of Moldova. And we can demonstrate that everyone who does not correspond to the post can be relieved of this position,” the socialist said.
The head of the PSRM faction stated that the ruling majority in the person of the democrats very much hopes that the turnout at the referendum this Sunday, November 19, will be low.
“The fate of the city of Chisinau, the capital of the country in which we live, is in your hands. Or instead of you, this decision will be taken by somebody else,” Ion Cheban said.
