Moldovan parliament declares one MP mandate vacant

The parliament declared vacant one MP mandate today. The seat belongs to the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and remained free following the death of lawmaker Irina Mizdrenco.

According to PSRM’s list of the 2014 parliamentary polls, the MP mandate might belong to a former policeman, Petru Corduneanu.

To hold the lawmaker seat, Corduneanu’s mandate must be approved by the Central Electoral Commission and validated by the Constitutional Court.
