Moldovan parliament to hold last meeting of 2016 on 23 December

The second ordinary session of 2016 will end on 23 December, under a decision by the parliament’s standing bureau. The MPs will return from recess on 16 January 2017, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.  

This week, the lawmakers will hold meetings on 22 and 23 December. The agenda comprises about 24 subjects, including a report on management and use of public financial resources and public patrimony, unveiled by the Court of Accounts, a draft law due to see the setting up of a special commission for optimizing the legislative framework on children’s nourishment in pre-school and education institutions. If the MPs back the decision, the special commission will assess children’s nourishment in schools and kindergartens, will analyze the irregularities and infringements discovered and will identify legislative solutions due to improve the process of selection of economic agents supplying schools and kindergartens with food products.
