Final preliminary results of presidential runoff

All the votes cast in the presidential runoff have been counted. According to the preliminary results, Igor Dodon won 52.18% of the vote, while Maia Sandu – 47.82%, IPN reports.

The Central Election Commission said the candidate of the Party of Socialists obtained 835,210 votes, while the candidate of the Party “Action and Solidarity” – 765,460 votes. The difference is of 69,750 votes.

Voter turnout in the runoff was 53%.
