The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is streamlining its organizational structure. A decision to this effect was approved by the Government today, TRIBUNA reports.

One important change is the establishment of an Information and Media Communications Service, which will report directly to the CAA director and will be responsible for the Authority’s public communications, including during crisis situations.

In addition, the Aeronautical Personnel Licensing Section will be reorganized into the Aeronautical Personnel Licensing Directorate. The change is related to the number of staff positions within the subdivision and will bring its structure into line with the rules governing the organization of public authorities.

The changes will bring the Authority’s structure into line with the current regulatory framework and the institution’s needs.
