It is an important day for biathlon in the Republic of Moldova – our pride, Alina Stremous, won the silver medal in the 7.5 km sprint at the first stage of the International Biathlon Union Cup, held in Austria.
Dmitri Torner, President of the Biathlon Federation and the Winter Sports Association of the Republic of Moldova, stated: “I know how much effort Alina has invested in preparing for this competition and in general. She is a born fighter and has often impressed us with her excellent results. Alina Stremous is a true ambassador of Moldovan sport, bringing fame to our country worldwide and making us proud of the Republic of Moldova. I am confident that Alina will continue to delight us with her successes. Congratulations, Alina Stremous, and best of luck in the future!”
Torner also expressed gratitude to other Moldovan biathletes who took part in the competition: Elisaveta Hlusovici, Arina Rusu, Iulian Luchin, Andrei Usov, and Victor Șendrea. “They are dedicated to their sport with all their heart and soul, and I am sure they will continue to bring us excellent results”, he emphasized.
