Today, a contingent of Moldovan soldiers departed for Bucharest to take part in the military parade that will be held on December 1, on the occasion of Romania’s National Day, TRIBUNA reports.
The Moldovan detachment is composed of peacekeepers from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion “Blue Helmets,” as well as the flag-bearing group represented by soldiers from the Honor Guard Company.
The National Army formation will be led by Major Lieutenant Boris Răileanu, who recently returned from the EUFOR ALTHEA peacekeeping mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Moldovan contingent will march in Bucharest’s Arch of Triumph Square alongside Romanian soldiers and foreign detachments stationed in Romania.
The Republic of Moldova has been participating in Romania’s military parade since 2014.
