Starting today, household consumers can register for the government program “Help at the Meter” via the platform compensatii.gov.md. As in previous years, compensation will be provided in the form of monthly monetary payments from November 2025 to March 2026. Beneficiaries can receive the funds on their social card — if they also receive other state allowances — at any post office in the country, or into a bank account opened in the name of the primary applicant, reports TRIBUNA.
The information system will calculate the compensation amount individually for each household, based on family income, number of members, and their status (minor, person with disability, student), ensuring support is proportionate to each family’s needs.
Additional data verification measures remain the same as last season. Data will be cross-checked with the information systems of several institutions: the State Tax Service, National Social Insurance House, National Council for Determining Disability and Work Capacity, Public Services Agency, energy providers, National Employment Agency, universities, and banking institutions. Based on this analysis, the system will calculate a personalized compensation for each household.
To benefit from compensation, all consumers must submit an application, regardless of whether they registered last year. Applications can be submitted online via compensatii.gov.md or with the help of registrars. Those without internet access or facing difficulties registering can complete the application with assistance from social workers or specialists at Unified Service Provision Centers (CUPS). In localities with a high number of applicants, mobile teams will be available to help citizens register.
For questions about the registration process, a toll-free call center is available at 0 8000 5000 (Monday–Friday, 08:00–18:00).
To receive compensation for November, applicants must register on compensatii.gov.md by November 28. Those who register after November 28 can still apply, but will not receive compensation for November. If the application is submitted after the 25th of the month, compensation will begin the following month.
