The Central Electoral Commission registered one more participant in the referendum of October 20, 2024. The members of the CEC approved, in today’s meeting, the request submitted by the “ŞANSA” Political Party regarding registration as a participant in the constitutional republican referendum, with the option “NO”, informs TRIBUNA.

Following the notification to the Ministry of Justice by the CEC regarding the initiation of the procedure to limit the activity of the political formation, by the decision of the Bălți Court of August 16, 2024, the activity of the Political Party “ŞANSA” was ordered to be limited for a period of 3 months. At the moment, the case in question is being examined at the Balti Court of Appeal. Thus, in the event that an enforceable court decision will be issued regarding the limitation of the applicant’s activity, carrying out his activity as a participant in the referendum will become inadmissible, and the decision of the CEC would be revoked.

To date, five participants in the referendum have been registered at the CEC.
