The deputy chairman of the European People’s Party of Moldova Eugen Sturza is the candidate for the post of minister of defense proposed by the Democratic Party (PDM). The announcement was made by the president of the PDM Vladimir Plahotniuc after the traditional meeting held at the party’s head office, IPN reports.
Vladimir Plahotniuc said that if Eugen Sturza is not accepted by the President, the PDM will insist on the same candidate. “If President Igor Dodon rejects the PDM’s candidate, I say it clearly that we will field the same candidate for the second time. We will accept no compromise on the issue and will not propose another candidate,” stated the Democratic leader.
Eugen Struza was head of the office of Iurie Leanca when the latter served as Prime Minister.
